Youth Zone

We are delighted to announce that we are now supporters, and proud Bronze Patrons, of the Wigan Youth Zone. A fun, supportive, safe, and inclusive location for the young people of Wigan to enjoy and benefit from.

There is a real commitment by the centre, to give young people as much of an experience of a wide variety of activities as possible, and the opportunity to learn and develop important life skills, especially when it comes to the world of work and employability.

Wigan Youth Zone is run by an incredibly focused, dedicated and driven team, supported by an equally enthusiastic and talented group of volunteers. It is a place that, in a relatively short space of time, has had a hugely positive impact on the young people who have attended and the wider community in Wigan itself.

For instance:
80% of Youth Zone members report better marks in class, with 73% achieving better grades in exams or coursework, and 89% of young people reported that the youth zone has had a positive influence on their self-confidence

On a recent tour of the Youth Zone to see the facilities, activities and opportunities we were in awe at the scale, and quality, of what is on offer to the young people who attend.

Support from local businesses from all sectors is crucial to the ongoing success of Wigan Youth Zone. Our visit left us with no doubt that this is the kind of local organisation we want to be involved with and we look forward to providing whatever support we can to this amazingly successful and inspirational youth charity.

“Our patrons are invaluable to the success of Wigan Youth Zone, without them we simply couldn’t offer the vast array of activities we do for young people, 7 days a week.” Wigan Youth Zone

We look forward to seeing the continued success, influence and impact Wigan Youth Zone has on the local area and the young people of Wigan.
