There is a big change for 2020 which has already been catching people out
England and Wales Bank Holidays 2020
As normal England and Wales will be getting 8 Bank Holidays in 2020. Bank Holidays for the most part fall on a Monday however there is one big change this year. The early May bank holiday – which usually falls on the first Monday in May – has been moved to Friday the 8th May in order to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day.

Monday 28th December – Boxing Day (with Boxing Days usual 26th December falling on the Saturday the Bank Holiday has shifted to the Monday
